Distance Reiki Healing Online: How It Works and How to Prepare

Reiki is a complementary practice. It supports relaxation and well-being and may help you feel better, but it does not diagnose, treat or cure any illness. Please keep following your doctor’s advice and medicines.

Does Reiki work at a distance?

Yes. Distance healing is part of traditional Usui Reiki and is taught at Level 2. The healer uses specific Reiki symbols to send healing to a person who is not in the same room, whether they are in the next building or another country.

Many people are surprised by how much they feel: warmth, tingling, heaviness in the hands and feet, or simply deep calm. Others notice the results later, in better sleep or a lighter mood.

What happens in an online session

  1. You book a time. Online slots at our centres are open every day from 8 AM to 9 PM.
  2. You get a Zoom link on WhatsApp before the session.
  3. A short talk. The healer asks what you need help with.
  4. The healing. You lie down comfortably with your camera on or off. The healer sends Reiki for 30 to 45 minutes. Most people keep their eyes closed and simply rest.
  5. After. A few minutes to share how you felt, and simple advice for the next days.

How to prepare

  • Choose a quiet room and tell your family not to disturb you for an hour.
  • Keep your phone on silent, except for the Zoom call.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothes.
  • Keep a glass of water nearby and drink it after the session.
  • Do not drive or start heavy work straight after. Give yourself 15 minutes.

Who distance healing suits

  • Busy professionals who cannot spend time in traffic
  • Elderly parents and people who find travel difficult
  • Family members in another city or abroad
  • Anyone who feels more relaxed in their own home

You can also book distance healing for someone else, such as a parent in hospital. Share their name and photo with the healer on WhatsApp. Please continue all medical treatment.
